After a short delay, on 23-25 March 2022, the Earth Science Analytics team was delighted to attend the first physical conference and exhibition for EAGE Digital.
The event - the place to be for geoscience experts to exchange on the various challenges the global energy industry is facing (acceleration in digitalisation, the transition towards net-zero ambitions...) - was hosted in sunny Vienna, which is known for being a stone's throw from where our head of R&D Dr. Lukas Mosser was born!
Over the course of 3 days, a contingent of ESA was chosen to chair and take part in several talks on practical applications of AI that ranged from solving problems with seismic noise all the way to prospect generation using machine learning.
One of the highlights of this event was the focus on panels and interactive debates which gave great insights into how to escape the POC graveyard, power the energy transition with data and more. Over at the ESA booth, the team was busy unveiling the latest features of EarthNET while delighting the crowd with fresh coffee and local pastries.
One particular highlight of the week was our lunchtime lecture on “Machine Learning for Geoscientists”, which drew a huge crowd each day.
Of course we managed to break away from the conference for a few hours and enjoy some of the great Viennese hospitality with Taffelspitz quickly becoming a firm favorite amongst our team.
It was refreshing and energizing to be so heavily involved in this event and we cannot wait for Digex, EAGE Annual and the rest of our planned shows across the globe!
If you missed out on meeting us in person this time, please get in touch today to learn about our mission and to understand how your business can benefit from ESA expertise.
